SP SnapShot™ is an online data analysis tool that enables teachers, administrators, and school districts to effectively mine, manage, analyze, report, and apply data to their school improvement initiatives.

The Situation

Look at student test data and really delve into it.  Deriving meaning from a thick stack of printouts or cross-referencing spreadsheets by hand is hard.  It can take a lot of time and effort to find those discoveries that could make all the difference to a student’s education.  Most data sourcing tools only source data in unfriendly spreadsheet formats.

The Solution

SP SnapShot™ takes all the key data that schools collect on their students such as test scores and demographics, analyzes it, and presents it in an easy-to-comprehend format.  By simplifying data analysis, teachers and administrators are able to make the best use of their time, and maximize their impact on student performance and school improvement.

Features

Scatterplot Graphs

Scatterplot Graphs

Scatterplots let you compare two different test types (e.g. NRT Reading vs CRT/SSS Reading) to see where the student might have more potential for growth. They also compare different components (e.g. Reading vs Math) to see where the greatest learning needs lie. They can also compare test scores from year to year to measure expected growth.
