Etraffic Solutions CEO Wayne Poncia has won the VIATeC Executive of the Year award for 2007. This award recognizes an individual who has had a significant impact on the success of an organization as a direct result of their leadership.

“It’s a privilege to own and lead a business in Victoria, British Columbia,” said Poncia as he addressed the audience on awards night. “It’s a privilege to be a part of VIATeC. It is truly a privilege to be a leader of 50 people that impact more than half a million students everyday and that’s what Etraffic’s about.”

After leaving a career in teaching and school administration, Wayne helped to establish Etraffic Solutions in 1999. His background gives him a complement of skills and experiences that have helped to guide Etraffic to become a leading developer of online learning applications and content.

The company has grown to become one of North America’s leading elearning companies. After experiencing initial success in the United States, Etraffic Solutions had major advancements this past year in British Columbia with the development of two products: Pilot Math and StudyBUZZ. Poncia was instrumental in guiding the vision of both those products.

Etraffic Solutions was also a finalist for the VIATeC Innovative Excellence award.
