New partnership expands online educational resources for students using curriculum-based computer learning programs.

The NECTAR Foundation, creators of Math Trek, Language Trek, and Science Trek (www.learnwithtrek.com), helps students achieve their full potential and increases teacher effectiveness through curriculum-based educational software. To provide additional online homework resources to their network of learners, NECTAR has joined forces with Etraffic Press’ SchoolWAX.com and SchoolWAXTV.com.
Rhéal Dumont, Executive Director of The NECTAR Foundation explains, “We have always been advocates of the use of technology to engage students with the required curriculum. Because the content on SchoolWAX and SchoolWAX TV is pre-screened and teacher approved, it was a natural choice as a homework supplement to our teacher-designed educational programs.”
Etraffic Press’ SchoolWAX initiative makes educational multimedia available to students and educators at no cost. SchoolWAX.com, the online portal for Etraffic Press’ blended classroom resources, contains a free comprehensive directory site for learning. This all-in-one homework help site includes useful links to websites on every school subject and can be used by all grade levels.
SchoolWAXTV.com, the online video sharing site designed specifically for school use, is the latest addition to the SchoolWAX project. This online community allows students, teachers, school administrators, and parents to share instructional and educational videos. Educators vet all content before it appears on the site to ensure videos are accurate, relevant, and safe for school use.
